3. Transparent Pricing & Booking Process

- Validity: Quotes are valid for 30 days from the date of issue

4. Payment Terms & Methods
4.1 Payment Schedule
- Advance Payment: 25% advance required to confirm booking
- Balance Payment: Remaining amount due before delivery
- Payment Methods: Cash, bank transfer, UPI, credit/debit cards
- GST: All prices include applicable GST as per Indian tax laws
4.2 Additional Charges
Additional charges may apply for:
- Extra packing materials beyond the estimate
- Additional services requested during the move
- Waiting time due to customer delays
- Difficult access requiring special equipment
- Storage beyond the agreed period
5. Comprehensive Insurance & Liability Coverage
5.1 Insurance Coverage
100% Insured Moves: All our moves are covered by comprehensive insurance policies only if customer has opted and paid for insurance.
- Transit Insurance: Coverage during transportation
- Loading/Unloading Insurance: Protection during handling
- Storage Insurance: Coverage for items in our storage facilities
- Third-Party Liability: Protection against property damage
5.2 Coverage Options
- Basic Coverage: Included in all moves at no extra cost (₹3 per kg)
- Full Value Protection: Complete replacement value coverage available
- High-Value Items: Special coverage for items above ₹50,000
- Electronics Coverage: Specialized protection for electronic items
5.3 Claims Process
- Reporting: Claims must be reported within 7 days of delivery
- Documentation: Photographic evidence required for damage claims
- Assessment: Professional assessment within 48 hours
- Settlement: Claims settled within 15-30 business days
- Dispute Resolution: Independent arbitration available
6. Customer Responsibilities
Customers are responsible for:
- Providing accurate inventory and access information
- Preparing items for moving as instructed
- Being present during pickup and delivery
- Providing safe access to properties
- Disclosing hazardous materials
7. Prohibited Items
We cannot transport:
- Hazardous materials
- Perishable items
- Live plants (long-distance moves)
- Personal documents and valuables
- Illegal items
8. Comprehensive Cancellation and Refund Policy
8.1 Customer-Initiated Cancellations
We understand that plans can change. Our flexible cancellation policy ensures fair treatment for all parties:
- More than 72 hours before service: 95% refund of advance payment (5% processing fee)
- 48-72 hours before service: 80% refund of advance payment
- 24-48 hours before service: 50% refund of advance payment
- Less than 24 hours before service: 25% refund (or free rescheduling once)
- Same-day cancellation: No refund (emergency rescheduling may be possible)
8.2 Company-Initiated Cancellations
- Weather-related cancellations: 100% refund or free rescheduling
- Vehicle breakdown/technical issues: 100% refund plus 10% compensation
- Staff unavailability: 100% refund or priority rescheduling
- Force majeure events: Full refund with no penalties
8.3 Refund Processing
- Request Method: Email to support@packersanmovers.com or through our website
- Required Information: Booking reference, cancellation reason, preferred refund method
- Processing Time: 5-10 business days from approval
- Refund Methods: Bank transfer, UPI, or original payment method
- Confirmation: Email confirmation sent upon processing
8.4 Service Quality Guarantees
- Damage Compensation: Full replacement value as per insurance terms
- Delivery Delays: 5% refund per day of delay (maximum 50% of service cost)
- Incomplete Services: Prorated refund for undelivered services
- Service Quality Issues: Up to 25% refund based on severity
- Lost Items: Full replacement value compensation
8.5 Non-Refundable Items
- Packing Materials: Used materials cannot be refunded
- Third-Party Services: External services arranged on customer behalf
- Storage Fees: For items stored beyond agreed period
- Survey Charges: If customer cancels after detailed assessment
8.6 Dispute Resolution Process
- Initial Response: All refund requests acknowledged within 24 hours
- Investigation: Thorough review completed within 48 hours
- Mediation: Independent third-party mediation available
- Legal Compliance: All disputes handled as per Consumer Protection Act, 2019
- Escalation: Unresolved issues can be escalated to consumer forums
9. Force Majeure
We are not liable for delays or failures due to circumstances beyond our control, including natural disasters, strikes, or government actions.

Any disputes will be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with Indian law. The jurisdiction for any legal proceedings shall be Mumbai, Maharashtra.
